Fun Events on the Horizon
Muscatine County Freedom Rock Smorgasbord
Memorial Day, Monday, May 26, will be Wilton’s traditional Smorgasbord, starting at 3 pm with a short program honoring veterans, then firefighter water hose fights, the 25-cent brat or hot dog meal, and finally, amazing prizes! For a $5 donation you can enter the drawing.
This year, Wilton Public Library will be having summer reading sign-up right before the event, at 2:30 pm. The American Legion will have their traditional Memorial Day program starting in the morning.
We will be offering the popular “All Around Town” prize packages again this year, so if you can contribute a gift certificate to your business, that would be wonderful!

City leaders donated to the Freedom Rock and entered the Smorgasbord prize drawing at the April 28 City Council meeting. Founders Day 2025
We are making plans for an amazing Founders Day—make sure August 15-17 is on your calendar! The theme is Anchors Aweigh and we are thrilled to announce that the Grand Marshal of the parade will be Wilton’s own Rear Admiral Will Pennington and family!
As always, an event this size means we need many volunteers. Please let us know if you have a couple of hours here or there to help out, and we will have a task for you!
