We have an event filled Spring & Summer so we will need a lot of volunteers for all of these events listed below so please let us know if you are willing to participate!
cruelty_freeBunny Hunt
The Wilton Chamber Retail Committee and Public Library are sponsoring the Bunny Hunt which is going on now until 3pm on Saturday, April 8. Participants will have to locate this bunny at any of the following businesses and collect their stamp or sticker from them to put in their booklet (which was given to elementary students at school and there are extra booklets these businesses): Advocate News, Arty’s Ice Cream & Grill, Blooming Ideas (Cedar St.), CBI Bank & Trust, Cedar Closet, Community Bank, Country Financial, Niche, Etc., R.I.A. Credit Union, Sassy Styles, White Pigeon Insurance, Wilton Bank, Wilton Café, Wilton Candy Kitchen, Wilton Public Library, Wilton Retirement Community, WTC Communications. Once all 12 boxes in the booklets are filled they can take them to the Wilton Public Library and hand them in and collect a reward. The booklets will then be entered into a big prize drawing which will take place after 3pm on Saturday, April 8. A Big Thank you to the following businesses who have given a Prize donation for the drawing: Advocate News, CDS Global, Cedar Closet, Country Financial, Gerdau, Lorlen Candles, Gifts & Antiques, R.I.A. Credit Union, Wilton Café, Wilton Chamber & Development Alliance, Wilton Public Library.

The date for the Spring City-Wide Garage Sale is Saturday, May 6, 2023. If you are interested in participating in this garage sale you can sign up and pay ($10) online so your garage sale location is put in the map & advertising. Mark your calendars for Friday, June 16, 2023 for the Wilton Chamber & Development’s Wilfundy Golf Outing at Wahkonsa Country Club. Tee off will begin at 10am and Erin DeLong and Keith Sanders have graciously agreed to Chair this fun event again this year. Please let them know if you want to volunteer for this event! Which is on Monday July 3rd will again take place downtown with great entertainment and beautiful fireworks. Fro has sponsored this event for several years but funds are needed to keep this great event going. If you are interested in helping to sponsor this event, contact Fro at: brifro@gmail.com.
celebrationFounders Day 2023
Friday, August 18, Saturday, August 19, and Sunday, August 20 dates are slated for the Founders Day weekend. The theme this year is “Shake It Up” because we have added new attractions to add to the same great acts and activities we’ve always had. The parade has been moved to the morning at 11:30 am and our Grand Marshall will be Eddie Sawvell. We also have the Blackhawk Pipes and Drums marching band joining us to march in our parade. Newly added attractions are: a 3 on 3 basketball tournament, inflatables sponsored by Hy-Line NA, bungee jump, Teen Zone, and Game Coach plus great entertainment on the Founders Day main stage----We will be sending you more information on this wonderful community festival in April so that you can make plans to attend and to invite friends and family back home to Wilton…..Welcome Home!!!

Monday, September 4 (Labor Day) is slated for another 25 cent meal, Fire Fighters Water Fight and great prizes at the Muscatine County Freedom Rock Smorgasbord.

- Hilary Henke of the United Way of Muscatine has announced that there will be a "Day of Caring in Wilton" on May 10, 2023. At this time, they are looking at morning only projects and they need projects that teams of volunteers can complete.
